Counseling provides a safe space for children with a trained professional they can trust. The counselors at Redlands Christian Counseling will help your child with any issues, concerns, or challenges they face. We offer a Christian perspective in our therapy to provide the most holistic support.
We often use talk therapy, however, there are a variety of methods the counselors in our office incorporate to help children feel comfortable and able to express themselves. The therapists can use different activities and approaches such as play therapy and art therapy to help a child open up.

Every child can benefit from having safe, trusted people in their life that listen, support, and encourage them. The counselors at Redland Christian Counseling can be part of that team to support your child and your family.
Consider what types of behavior your child is exhibiting. What stands out as you think about your child? Do you see any new behaviors? Are there changes? Are you worried about something? Questions like this can help you evaluate your child and how counseling can help.

Each session is typically fifty to sixty minutes, although session times can be adapted to fit the age and needs of your child. It is common to meet weekly, but other options can be explored based on your child, your family schedule, specific goals, and how receptive your child is to therapy.
The number of sessions varies greatly depending on the child’s needs. A common starting place is six sessions, but it can be months or longer. The counselor can give you a better idea of this as your child works through counseling.
The goal is never to keep them coming to counseling forever. We want to see your child progress and work through their issues. We are always available again if your child needs more sessions or faces something new.
